Honest information for a responsible decision.

The form gathers information that matters for safety, including health conditions, personal history, medication, current treatment and previous experiences.

Answers must be truthful and complete. If important information is left out, the leadership team cannot assess participation with the care it requires.

The interview is a conversation, usually held by video call. We review the information in the form, answer questions, explain the gathering and look at any situation that may need more attention.

Being considered eligible is not a medical or psychological diagnosis. It simply means the Sanctuary has decided whether participation is appropriate for that ceremony, based on the available information and our safety criteria.

Every person attending the Sanctuary for the first time completes the initial steps, even if they have received ayahuasca for many years or hold a religious role elsewhere.

This does not question anyone’s experience. It simply recognizes that each house has its own ritual practice, team and responsibilities.

Screening and interviews do not replace medical or psychological assessment. The Sanctuary does not tell anyone to stop medication, prescribe what to do or make clinical decisions that belong to a health professional.

When there are questions about a possible interaction or someone’s physical or emotional condition, confirmation may depend on professional guidance. Any change to medication or treatment must be decided with the healthcare provider responsible for that care.

First-time participants also join a conversation circle before the ceremony. We introduce the setting, the organization, the guardians, the movement boundaries, the ritual practice and the ways to ask for help.

Questions are part of preparation. Clear information helps each person understand the purpose of the gathering and their own responsibility.
